Africa Missions

Africa

Crossroads has developed strong mission partnerships in several different locations in Africa:

Zambia

Crossroads supports Bob & Candace Walker who are developing the Nehemiah Boy's Ranch through Heart of the Bride Ministries.  The Boy's Ranch project is geared to provide housing, education, job training, and discipleship training to boys who would otherwise be living on the streets of Zambia.  Many of the boys' parents have died of HIV/Aids.

You can find out more information about the Nehemiah Boy's Ranch by going to www.heartofthebride.org

Seeds of Hope International Partnerships (www.sohip.org) is another mission partner of Crossroads.  About once a year, Crossroads sends a mission team to Zambia to work with Seeds of Hope and the Nehemiah Boy's Ranch.  The mission of Seeds of Hope is to develop resource centers in strategic areas in Zambia.  These resource centers provide job training, hygiene training, and education for the poor.  The vision is to see new churches birthed out of these resource centers as people are led to Jesus Christ.  Seeds of Hope also provides clean drinking water to those in need through the drilling of water wells.  To date, Seeds of Hope has provided clean water to over 140,000 Zambians.

Impact Missions, a new organization led by Crossroads member Bryan Donahue, is working in partnership with Seeds of Hope to help bring new technologies to the poorest of the poor in Zambia.  Some of the new technologies involve: solar cookers, solar flashlights, solar room illuminators, methane biodigesters, and water dollies for water transportation.  Impact Missions also helps to fund equipment used by Zambians at the resource centers for making crafts that can then be sold for income.
